Dear Mr Frame
Thank you for your email dated 1 March 2010 and your subsequent letter received on 11 May 2010, regarding age of consent legislation. The Honourable Cameron Dick MP, Attorney-General and Minister for Industrial Relations, has asked me to reply on his behalf.
As indicated in previous responses from this office to you, the Premier of Queensland has publicly stated that the Queensland Government has no plans to make policy amendments in this area.
Accordingly, this Government is not intending to progress any legislative reform on this issue at this time.
Thank you for once again raising your concerns with the Attorney-General.
