Email to "Lawstuff" Website managers requesting amendment of incorrect information.Re: "Lawstuff" website 24th April 2001
The following is an extract from their site on 24th April 2001:
http://www.lawstuff.org.au/Page.asp?PageID=168&Section=When&State=qld
"When can I have sex?
There are different laws for different types of sexual relationships.
Sexual relationships between a male and a female
Sex with someone of the opposite sex (heterosexual sex) is legal once you are both over 16.
It is a criminal offence for any male to have sex with a female who is under 16. This means that if a boy has sex with a girl under 16, he is breaking the law, even if the girl agrees to have sex with him.
There is no age limit for boys, which means that a boy of any age can legally have sex with a girl as long as she is over 16.
Sexual relationships with someone of the same sex (homosexual sex)
Males
Both males have to be 18 or older. It is an offence for a male to have sex with another male who is under 18 years."

http://www.lawstuff.org.au/feedback.asp?state=qldYou have dangerously wrong information on your site about the age of consent in Queensland, which needs immediate attention for correction.
In Queensland it is totally legal for men aged 16 and over to consent to sex with other men, as long as they do not engage in anal intercourse. In Queensland it is not legal for any person, male or female, under the age of 18 to engage in anal intercourse.
I have written confirmation of this fact from the Qld Attorney General, a copy of that letter is part of the webfile that I suggest you visit at my site
www.queerradio.org/AgeOfConsent.htm.Accurate information is also stored on the international site
www.ageofconsent.com.If you read my suggested file you will find that the gross misinterpretation of the law in Queensland is extremely widespread.
The fact that websites such as your own thus perpetuate the problem proves that there is a real issue which needs to be openly addressed by the Queensland government in adequately informing not only the general public, but also the legal, health and counselling infrastructures.
Please advise ASAP as to what action you will take to amend your site.
In Qld the government sponsored youth site www.yac.net.au took 3 months to fix their information - which is quite intolerable.
I will be reviewing your details in a week, hoping that you take the matter of deliberate misinformation more seriously.
